Bed and Breakfast / Hotel Snowdonia National Park

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have Mobile Reception & WiFi?

If you need to stay connected throughout your holiday, Dolffanog Fach is not the place for you! We do have free WiFi available for our guests but due to our remote location it is exceptionally slow and not constantly connected. There is no mobile reception whatsoever. You are welcome to borrow our landline if you need to make a call.

What time can I check in?

Check in is from 4pm but if you would like to arrive earlier, please ask and we will arrange this if at all possible. Check out is at 10.30am but again,, just ask if you would prefer a later time.

Please note, we live next door to the B&B so it is very helpful if you can let us know your approximate time of arrival so we can make sure we are around to greet you.

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served at a time to suit you, (generally between 8.30 and 9.30am) but we will check this with you when you arrive. If you would like a particularly early or late breakfast (before 7am or after 10am) we would be happy to deliver a breakfast hamper to your room.

Evening meals are usually served at 7.30pm

Can you accommodate my dietary requirement?

We are happy to cater to any dietary requirements but it is important that you let us know what your requirements are before you arrive.

Do you have a quiet room?

It depends on your idea of quiet! Compared to a city centre B&B all our rooms are very quiet. However, if you need absolute silence then we could not recommend any of our rooms. Blyton & Awdry are next to a road and although it gets very little traffic during the evening and through the night, it may bother you if you are particularly troubled by noise. Rowling & Carroll are at the back of the house but Dolffanog Fach is a very old house and the plumbing noises can sometimes be heard. You will also be awake to very noisy bird song in Rowling as birds nest in a tree just outside.

Please also be aware that we are situated under the flight path of the famous Mach Loop. This means on a clear day, during weekdays, jets can fly overhead, sometimes extremely low. This is very exciting but also incredibly noisy. It doesn’t happen every day and it only happens a few times during the day.

How big are your beds?

All the beds in our rooms are standard width and length doubles.

How many people can you fit in each room?

Awdry can accommodate a double bed, a single bed and a travel cot.

Carroll can accommodate a double bed, a small (2”6) single bed and a travel cot.

Blyton & Rowling can accommodate a double bed and a travel cot but this will make the room quite cramped.

Children under 2 stay free.  Children under 16 and over 2 stay for a fee of £10 per night if sharing the same room as their parents. A third child over 12 or adult sharing the room costs £25 per night.
